Truth Social Files Trademark Applications for AI-Powered Chatbot

The company behind Truth Social, T Media Tech LLC, has filed two new trademark applications that signal the platform’s entrance into the artificial intelligence space. The trademarks are:

According to the filings, made on July 15 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the company plans to offer AI-powered chatbot software capable of simulating conversations, answering questions, retrieving information from the internet, and even providing citations and reference materials.

The applications were filed on an “intent to use” basis. This indicates that while the product has not yet launched, Truth Social is planning to launch such an AI product soon. By filing the trademark application now, the company gets priority rights over the name nationally, even before the product goes public.

From a legal standpoint, the new trademarks offer limited additional protection. Because the phrases “AI” and “Search” are generic, the only protectable value comes from their connection to the existing “Truth Social” brand. The additions do not create distinct or broadly enforceable trademarks on their own.

Still, the filings are noteworthy. They confirm that Truth Social plans on adding an AI chatbot to its platform, much like X’s Grok or Instagram’s Meta AI.
