We will arrange a call to discuss your client’s matter and come up with a proposed strategy, as well as a quote for the initial scope of work. Should that scope of work ever expand to anything else, you will always receive a 20% referral fee credit on legal services provided for the lifetime of the client.
Your client will sign an engagement letter with Gerben IP in which the client provides informed consent for the referral relationship.
We will then work with you and your client to ensure any other ethical requirements are met, per the rules of any state bar.
Every month Gerben IP will provide an accounting of fees billed to the client and provide payment of the referral fees. The referral fees are good for the lifetime of the client.
Many times our representation extends well beyond the initial request (we can develop trademark portfolios further, as well as assist with monitoring and enforcement issues).
