Tom Brady Files Trademarks for “TOM TERRIFIC”

Two very interesting filings were recently made by Tom Brady’s company, TEB Capital. TEB Capital is the entity that owns all the “TB12” trademarks that Tom has used and registered. As you can see in the video above, there were two new trademark filings made on May 24 for “TOM TERRIFIC.” Tom Terrific is a relatively obscure nickname that Tom Brady has had over the years, but now he is attempting to protect the phrase with a federal trademark registration.

The first TOM TERRIFIC trademark application was filed for collectible trading cards, sports trading cards, posters, and printed photographs. The second filing that was made on the same day is for t-shirts and shirts. These filings indicate that Tom Brady’s company is planning to launch a line of clothing called “TOM TERRIFIC,” and also planning to launch a line of collectible trading cards with the same name.

Both applications were filed based on a 1B basis, which means that the company has an intent to use these trademarks.  That said, for any trademark to register, the trademark must be in use in commerce.  This means that the goods listed in the application must actually be sold to consumers… so get ready for your Tom Terrific trading cards and clothing, as they are likely coming to a store near you soon.
