Our Tennessee continuing legal education courses focus on intellectual property law, more specifically trademarks. While you may not realize it, intellectual property can be found in every industry, as each business has at least one protectable trademark – their name. Our courses provide basic, but important information surrounding trademark law, allowing you to speak knowledgeably on the topic and perhaps provide added value to your clients.
Attorneys licensed by the State of Tennessee are required to complete 15 CLE credit hours every year. Three credit hours each year must be dedicated to Ethics & Professionalism.
All 15 credit hours may be completed online.
Tennessee’s CLE compliance deadline is December 31 of each year.
Tennessee’s CLE reporting deadline is March 31 of each year.
In Tennessee, CLE attendance is reported by the CLE provider. Gerben Perrott, PLLC will report your CLE attendance, within a day or two of the event.
We will also send you a Certificate of Attendance for the course, please retain that certificate for your records.
Yes, Tennessee attorneys can roll over a maximum of 15 CLE credit hours (including up to three ethics credits) each year.
Additional ethics credits can be rolled over, but any over three will be considered general credits vs ethics credits.
Attorneys in Tennessee can acquire their Tennessee CLE credits by attending continuing legal education courses that have been approved by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education. Courses can be taken in a variety of formats, from live classes or webinars to previously recorded audio or video content.

MCLE stands for mandatory – or in some states, minimum – continuing legal education and is just a different name for continuing legal education.
