NFL.com Quoted Josh Gerben About Tom Brady’s Latest Trademark Filings

On April 6, Tom Brady’s company, TEB Capital Management, filed two trademark applications for “TOMPA BAY” and “TAMPA BRADY.” The filings indicate that Brady has an intent-to-use the trademarks in association with clothing, headwear and footwear.

In an NFL.com article discussing the significance of the two slogans, Josh Gerben’s Twitter video analysis of the filings was included.

Gerben suggests that Tom Brady submitted trademark applications for “TOMPA BAY” and “TAMPA BRADY” in order to prevent bootleg merchandise from being sold. In order to receive registrations for the phrases, Brady will need to prove that he is using the marks in commerce.
