Sky News Talks to Josh Gerben About Russian Trademarks of Western Brands

Russian courts recently ruled that the Peppa Pig trademarks can be used by Russian businesses without punishment. It’s thought that this decision was made in retaliation for recent economic sanctions imposed on the country and comes after the Russian government also issued a decree allowing patented inventions from “unfriendly countries” to be used without permission or compensation.
Sky News spoke with Josh Gerben about what this ruling could mean for other companies who are also ceasing business with Russia.
Josh Gerben has predicted that this could pave the way for Russia to let local operators run shuttered McDonald’s restaurants.
