NPR’s Morning Edition Speaks With Josh Gerben About “OK BOOMER” Trademark

During the past year, the phrase “OK, Boomer” has emerged in pop culture as a way for younger generations to dismiss certain topics when brought up by the baby boomer generation.

Josh Gerben spoke with NPR reporter Yuki Noguchi regarding Fox Entertainment’s “OK, BOOMER” filing:

“[Josh Gerben] says it’s highly unlikely the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will grant anyone the rights to OK, boomer.

“Typically, a trademark has to be unique to a particular company in order to be registered. In this case, it just would not be.”
