CNBC Quoted Josh Gerben About a New Bill Called the “Shop Safe Act”

A new bill was introduced in the House of Representatives on March 2, 2020 called the “Shop Safe Act.” The bi-partisan bill would hold e-commerce sites, such as Amazon, accountable for the harm caused by the sale of counterfeit goods.

Josh Gerben was quoted by CNBC discussing the impact of the Shop Safe Act on consumer protection:

“[…] this bill would hold e-commerce companies more accountable for the goods sold on their sites.”

“Quite frankly it is about time that Congress did something about it because the online marketplaces that exist today have not put consumer safety first.”
