Simeon N. Wright III, Esq., is an associate attorney with Gerben IP, where he focuses his practice on trademark and copyright prosecution, enforcement, and defense. He guides clients through the trademark and copyright processes from filing and registration to the ongoing protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights.  

Simeon’s practice spans a broad range of trademark matters, including drafting identifications of goods and services, preparing and negotiating various agreements, and responding to USPTO Office Actions. He also counsels athletes, influencers, and other public figures on protecting their name, image, and likeness under the right of publicity, including securing the removal of unauthorized images and stopping the sale of infringing goods. 

Before joining Gerben IP, Simeon worked at various law firms and companies, building his expertise across trademark, copyright, and related areas of IP law.

Beyond his practice, Simeon is an active leader in Washington, D.C.’s legal and cultural communities. He serves on the board of Empact Art, championing the role of arts and culture in civic life, and is a former Assistant Secretary of the Washington Bar Association, where he helped advance the organization’s mission to support Black legal professionals and the communities they serve.

In recognition of his professional accomplishments and commitment to his community, Simeon was recently named to the Congressional Black Caucus’s Power 100. The honor reflects the impact Simeon has made through both his legal career and community involvement. 

Originally from Monrovia, Liberia, Simeon carries a deep connection to his heritage, which informs both his personal identity and his professional commitment to helping underrepresented communities access the legal protections and information they need. When he is not practicing law, you can find him cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, playing competitive Flag Football, or playing video games.
