Josh Gerben Discusses Taylor Swift’s Opposition to a ‘Swift Home’ Trademark with Reuters

Taylor Swift has filed a Notice of Opposition against a ‘Swift Home’ trademark for bedding.

Josh Gerben analyzes the merits of the case for Reuters. 

While Taylor Swift has some experience with IP disputes, trademark attorney Josh Gerben tells Reuters that she has actually filed very few trademark oppositions.

“Normally, somebody that has as much invested in IP as Taylor does, we would see more activity at the Trademark Office,” Gerben said. “There just hasn’t been this really strong enforcement or policing effort around ‘Swift.'”
