Boston Globe Quotes Josh Gerben’s Analysis of Belichick’s ‘GOLD DIGGER’ Trademark
Bill Belichick’s company, Trouble Cub Enterprises, filed a trademark with the USPTO to protect a “GOLD DIGGER” line of jewelry. The filing appears to be a nod to comments made about Belichick’s much younger girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. Hudson is also listed as the manager of Belichick’s company.
Boston Globe reported on the story, quoting Josh Gerben’s legal analysis from his blog.
Gerben noted that the trademarks were filed on an intent to use basis, which is a common legal strategy for new brand launches. By filing the trademark now, Belichick now has priority rights in a “GOLD DIGGER”-brand of jewelry.
