Yahoo Sports Credits Josh Gerben with Discovery of Howie Roseman’s “I BLEED FOR THIS CITY” Trademark
During the the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl Parade on February 14th, 2025, Howie Roseman, general manager for the Eagles, was hit in the head by a flying beer can. While the hit was hard enough to draw blood, Roseman was checked out and continued participating in the festivities.
In fact, Roseman opened his end-of-parade speech with “I bleed for this city,” and then filed a trademark application to protect the phrase.
Trademark attorney, Josh Gerben discovered the filing and posted about it on X, breaking the news. Roseman’s team confirmed that the trademark was filed to prevent potential misuse of the phrase and that any proceeds from the use will be donated to charity.
