Luke Bryan (Thomas Luther Bryan) is one of the most renowned songwriters and singers in the current generation. He was born on July 17, 1976 in Leesburg, Georgia, a small town 100 miles from the Alabama. Luke Bryan was the youngest son of a farmer, he grew up assisting his family with farm work, but he developed a passion for country music choosing his inspirations from his parents record collection listening to Conway Twitty, George Strait, Ronnie Milsap, Alan Jackson, and Merle Haggard. When Bryan was 14, his parents gifted him a guitar and soon after a while Bryan started performing with local bands at a club.
Luke Bryan started writing songs when he was just 16 years old. He planned to make his move to Nashville to explore his career after graduating from high school, until his brother died in a car accident. Luke then planned to stay in Georgia to offer emotional support to his family and decided to study in Georgia Southern University. However, he continued to write songs and didn’t give up on music. He also created a band and would perform on campus or at nearby watering holes during the weekends. After he got his degree, Bryan moved to Georgia and joined his family business. His father was aware and confident of his son’s talent and hence, offered him only 2 options, either to move to Tennessee and pursue his career or be fired.
In the year 2001, Bryan moved to Nashville and was successful in quickly getting a songwriting contract with a local publishing house. However, he didn’t file a trademark for his name until a decade later in 2012. At night, Bryan used to perform at local clubs where an A&R rep from Capitol Records once saw him and was impressed by his talent. Bryan was immediately signed to the label. Bryan released his first album ‘I’ll stay me’ with Capitol Records in 2007, followed by 2 more albums in 2009 and 2011. His albums were widely distributed brought him huge success. His album ‘Doin’ my thing’ peaked at number two on the country charts. Oddly enough, Bryan never protected his album names with trademark filings.
Bryan married Caroline Boyer on December 8, 2006 (his college sweetheart whom he met while he was studying in ‘Georgia Southern University.’ In 2013, Bryan released another album ‘Spring break..Here to party’ which became his first number one album on the pop chart. In June, Bryan won ACM’s prestigious Entertainer of the Year award which strengthened his standing. In 2011, Bryan released his third studio album ‘Tailgates & Tanlines’ which peaked at number two on ‘Billboard 200’ chart and number one on ‘Top Country Albums’ chart. This was a break-through album of Bryan’s career. This album won many awards, some of which include ‘Best Single,’ ‘Best Music Video,’ and ‘Most Played Radio Track.’ I It was also recognized as the ‘Best Album of the Year’.
In 2016, Bryan became among the 30 artists to perform ‘Forever Country,’ which was a mash-up track of ‘Country Roads,’ ‘Take Me Home,’ ‘I Will Always Love You,’ and ‘On the Road Again.’ Luke Bryan also performed the national anthem in 2017 at ‘Super Bowl LI’. It was a great opportunity for his career. Not only this, in 2019 he landed a role as a judge in ‘American Idol’ along with Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. In 2013, Bryan’s album ‘Crash My Party’ was named by ‘Billboard Music Awards’ as the ‘Top Country Album.’ In addition to this, he also won the award ‘Artist of the Year’ many times at various award ceremonies.

Additionally, Bryan also filed trademarks in the entertainment category. These filings include audio recordings, video recordings and audio-visual content in the fields of music and musical entertainment and more. As per Forbes, Luke Bryan was recognized as the highest-paid country singer of the year. He has a total net worth of $140 million. In addition to this, Bryan also supports various causes and charities such as ‘City of Hope’ and ‘Red Cross.’ He also supports children’s disaster relief, health and fights against HIV and cancer.
