Marshon Lattimore Trademarks

Marshon Lattimore is a defensive back in the National Football League. He plays for the New Orleans Saints and is a four-time Pro Bowler.

Marshon Lattimore was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 20, 1996. He first played football for coach Ted Ginn Sr. at Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He played on both sides of the ball, as both a wide receiver and a cornerback. He was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and decided to attend the Ohio State University.

Lattimore redshirted his first year at Ohio State. The next year, his redshirt freshman year was cut short due to persistent hamstring injuries and he would only play in eight games that season. In the following season, he was named as a starter and had a good year, as he was awarded First Team All-Big Ten honors. He decided to forego the rest of his remaining collegiate eligibility and declared for the NFL Draft.

While Lattimore attended the combine that year, he did not participate in all the drills. He also attended Ohio State’s Pro Day but chose to only participate in positional drills. He was generally projected to be a first-round pick and the top cornerback in that year’s draft.

The New Orleans Saints chose Lattimore eleventh overall in the draft. He signed a rookie deal with them, worth more than $15 million over four years. Although he was initially placed lower on the depth chart, due to the injury of a teammate, he ended up starting the first two games of the season.

Lattimore’s professional debut came against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. He had a good showing but suffered a concussion the following week. He then had to go into concussion protocol, which caused him to miss some playing time. Upon his return, Lattimore was named the starting cornerback and started all 13 games that he played in for the Saints that year. He recorded 52 total tackles, 18 pass breakups, five interceptions, and one touchdown. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team and the Pro Bowl. He was also selected as the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2017.

In the following season, Lattimore was again named as the starting cornerback, but his first interception did not come until week 11. His only other interception that season was at the expense of the Buccaneer’s Jameis Winston just two weeks later. In this “quiet season,” Lattimore recorded 59 total tackles, 12 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and three recoveries.

2019 would be Lattimore’s third season with the league and he recorded 47 total tackles and 14 passes defensed with one interception. He was nominated to the Pro Bowl but was unable to play due to a nagging hamstring injury.

In 2020, Lattimore started in every game. He recorded 62 total tackles and 11 passes defensed and two interceptions. He was invited to play in the Pro Bowl for the third time.

Before the start of the 2021 season, Lattimore signed a new contract with the Saints. The deal was worth more than $97 million and would keep him with the Saints for another five years. That season he recorded 68 total tackles, 19 passes defensed and three interceptions.

In 2020, Marshon Lattimore filed a trademark application for “ST. CLAIR MADE” for beanies, footwear, t-shirts, and other clothing items. He also applied for a federal trademark registration of a logo that is in the design of his signature for the same purposes.
